CINNAMON POACHED PEARS
Serves 4. GF, NF
2 cinnamon sticks
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
2 bay leaves
1 unwaxed orange – juice and peel
1 tbsp maple syrup
Oat cream & toasted hazelnuts to serve
Peel the pears and place in a saucepan. Add the cinnamon sticks, bay leaves, maple syrup and orange juice and peel to the pan.
Pour in cold water to cover the pears by 1 inch.
Gently heat the pears until simmering and cook for 5-7 minutes until the pears are cooked through but not mushy.
Serve warm drizzled with oat cream and toasted hazelnuts.
